New Year/New Look
new projects/new hopes
Welcome to my new site! I have been meaning to do this for a very long time. I did build a temporary site a while back but I really didn't have the time for the learning curve. Don't get me wrong! I'm still learning but I am feeling good with what I've built so far.
I have some new projects in the works and will share new work soon. I am also working on a few commissions as well as trying to finish works that have been in progress for sometime. If all goes well, I can then start planning a new solo exhibit as well as a series of relief prints. I really want 2019 to be productive and focused on trying and working toward new things while aiming to keep it simple and leave time for living too. Something that I haven't done enough of.
As an Artist, I make my living by cobbling together income from a variety of work. I work at an arts center as well as being self employed as an artist, creative consultant, writer and have a small handmade business as well. It can sometimes result in working all the time, every day, all day...leaving no time for fun, family or a day of nothing at all. I plan on managing that better in 2019, and to be selective on what I choose to take on.
Thanks to Courtney Carver of Be Less With More, I have a plan. I follow her on Instagram and have recently purchased her book Soulful Simplicity. Nothing will happen overnight and that's okay. I'll get there.
“If you want to get clear on what matters, get rid of everything that doesn't.” Courtney Carver, Soulful Simplicity
Until next time: Keep it simple!
